Throughout my journey, God has spoken to me over and over again. He
has used songs, texts/emails from friends, devotionals, His Word,
audible whispers to my heart, and prophetic words/words of knowledge
from others during prayer or corporate worship. I could never explain
just how precious this list is to me... it outlines the footsteps I
walked and the pain in my heart along the way, because in each instance
He spoke the words that my grieving, wounded heart needed to hear,
specific to where I was at, in that moment. He is such an intimate
Daddy, knowing the deepest cries of our heart.
I have separated
out the songs; because of the lyrics, it makes for a very long post.
They are in the next page, on their own. Some have the date after; if I
could pin it down then I included it but I wasn't always able to pin it
down.
Psalm 36
5 Your love, LORD, reaches to the heavens, your faithfulness to the skies.

gave his people only enough manna for that day, and I need to trust him

Even
in the midst of disappointment, surprise, and mystery, you will
discover an amazing thing. You will discover how very reliable and
trustworthy God is—and how secure you are in His hands. And oh, how we
need that in this day of relativism and vacillation, filled with empty
talk and hidden behind a lot of semantic footwork. In the midst of "Spin
City," it is the Lord who talks straight. It is the Lord who has
preserved Truth in black and white in His Word. And it is the Lord who
has the right to do as He wishes around us, to us, and in us.
Puzzling
as the process may be to us, He stays with His plan. There is no need
for us to know all the reasons, and He certainly doesn't need to explain
Himself. If we're going to let God be God, then we're forced to say He
has the right to take us through whatever process He chooses.
Let Him have His way with your life, for nothing is worse than resisting and resenting the One who is at work in you.

Long before I knew anything about this area, God saw it fully.
Long before infection announced a problem, God’s healing Spirit started working that issue to the surface.
By
the time I noticed the problem, it looked like a sudden mess. But the
only reason I could see the problem is because it was already on its way
out!
God does not expose weakness to increase our shame, but to offer His protection.
God does not reveal sin to mock us, but to free us.
God reveals to heal.

Open My Eyes.
It
starts off with the story of Elisha and his servant. The king of Syria
wanted to destroy Elisha, so he brought a great army and during the
night he surrounded the city where Elisha was. In the morning Elisha's
servant saw the great army and was terrified, but Elisha prayed that his
servant's eyes would be opened so he could see, and the servant saw
that "the mountain was full of horses and chariots of fire all around
Elisha".
Then Joni writes:
"I like that story. Because
when we're serving the Lord, fighting off temptation, or making a stand
against fear, we may tend to feel lonely on our side of the battle
lines. The devil has his troops marshaled against us, and we are too
easily overcome with discouragement or fright. ...
At such a time
when fear grips your heart and your faith weakens and wavers, pray that
the Lord will open your eyes . . . that you may see.
There's no less a
force surrounding you on the front lines of the battlefield as there
was in Elisha's day. A host of angels? A legion of saints? A mountain
of horses and chariots of fire? Probably. But all you really need is
the One who promised never to leave or forsake you - the One who said,
"Lo, I am with you always."
You don't need an army on your side when you've got the King of kings."
Then there was an assigned reading, which was Ephesians 1:15 - 23. Look at verses 18 to 21...
I
pray that the eyes of your [my] heart may be enlightened in order that
you [I] may know the hope to which he has called you [me], the riches of
his glorious inheritance in his holy people, and his incomparably great
power for us who believe. That power is the same as the mighty strength
he exerted when he raised Christ from the dead and seated him at his
right hand in the heavenly realms, far above all rule and authority,

You'll never know a healer unless you've been sick. You'll never know a redeemer unless you've been enslaved.
The
pain process has to happen, and you must embrace it and own it. But
once you own it, you have two choices of what to do with the ashes
(ashes are the charred remains of something that used to be but is no
longer):
You can get an urn and put it on the mantle ["this is why I
am the way I am", "this is why I have the right to behave this way",
"I'm entitled to pity" - the victim mentality].
OR
You can enter
into God's divine exchange program and you can give him those ashes and
He promises to give you beauty. THAT is where restoration comes in.
But you have to embrace the pain.
It's not until you embrace the pain, the ashes - the truth - that His grace comes in.

felt when she lost her parents as a child... the loss [of] being under
the care of a male cousin. There was no nurturing female figure in her
home... Esther must have thought she was disqualified from ever being
chosen by the king to be his queen because of her past... God didn't
have the king choose her to be queen in spite of her past; He chose her
because of it... some of us have such painful past experiences we want
God to amputate them from our lives; then and only then, we think we
would be qualified to serve Him. However, if that were the case, we
wouldn't need a Redeemer. We are never to forget where we came from or
what we have survived. Our very existence shouts that we serve a God
who can heal and restore. How will the world know Him if we don't
declare what He has done for us and where we have come from?... allow
God to remove the pain but not the memory; it is what will save another.
